Nature trip

While the rains poured in Metro-Manila, it had been very warm and humid all week in Tacloban City.

We thought of getting away to the countryside to get off the sweltering heat enveloping the city.

So off we went with photog friends yesterday to Doc Gil Asoy’s farm in Brgy. Lukay, Babatngon, Leyte. It’s dubbed the Paru-parong Bukid Conservation Center. Still an ongoing project and not fully developed yet, the center has a butterfly farm, a fishing area, and lots of trees and ornamental plants as well.

It felt good to feel close to nature once again…

  1. Hello Sir Gerry,

Mind if i ask camera settings? (aperture, shutter speed, iso). Is this a standard kit lens? Great shots. Keep it coming.

    • All photos in this set were taken w/ the Canon EF 70-200mmL 2.8 IS USM, not a standard kit lens. Camera Canon EOS 50D on AP mode, ISO 100, mostly at f/2.8. Shutter speed varied.

  2. GORGEOUS! Mellow, and soft. This June pic folder conveys the feeling and ambiance that matches the farm’s name and probably appearance! Uhm…now, if I can only find my travel agent’s number? 🙂

    Fanstastic… Bravo!

  3. wow tito gerry! link ko itoh.. post mo pa ang ibang pics! kakainspire pa lalo to develop the farm 🙂

  4. Gerry: Beautiful as always. I’ll be in Southern Leyte next week and if I get one picture as good as any of these, the trip halfway around the world will be worth it.
