Ormoc’s Sabin Resort Hotel

Summer’s here!

And I was thinking, why don’t I do here some of the other places I haven’t featured yet – popular destinations for both local and foreign tourists in Leyte during summertime.

Let’s go first to the western side of Leyte, to the Ormoc City area.

First off – Sabin.

The Sabin Resort Hotel in Ormoc City, spread out in a two-hectare terrain right by the edge of the water –  with its unique pool which snakes around – provides a panoramic view of the city and Ormoc Bay with Merida’s mountainous range at the far horizon.

It is one of better resorts in the area especially for those seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

  1. I was in this resort in 2006 with my sister and her family (the Tabao family). It is a beautiful resort along the sea. Thanks for the photos.

  2. Nindot ang picture. Kay asa ang tawo? Mystery plague siguru 🙂

  3. Pool with snakes around? I doubt that I could enjoy this. Or did I get it wrong and you wanted to say something different?

  4. Alpujarras, obviously there’s a whale of a difference between the phrase “pool which snakes around” and “pool with snakes around.” hehehe 😉

  5. Ormoc is a beautiful place. The resort is one of the best in Leyte. They always come up with good architecture. I wonder why Tacloban doesn’t have resorts comparable to the one in Ormoc? I’ve stayed at Leyte Park Hotel, but it lacks maintenance. No offense on these two cities coz both are growing. My place is Tagbilaran City and it’s got a lot to offer from hotels, malls, beaches, etc. I hope they’ll catch up soon. I love you all people in Leyte. God bless you all!

  6. pano kami makapunta jan?? nice kc yung resort eh…plan naming magbakasyon jan…anyone hu can tel us how? salamat po..from bohol po kami 🙂

  7. hahaizt nindut jud ang sabin…hmmmm… dihaa gud nag ojt…hehehehe…

  8. Why does Sabin get bad reviews — the hotel is great but the staff are rude. What’s the truth to this? I am from Leyte and plan to book my guests from the U.S. in Sabin. But the negative reviews are a damper.

  9. Like any place one finds literally anywhere in this planet, there’s always somebody having a bad hair day??? Thus the perceived rudeness of an isolated few, otherwise the majority of the staff is great….you’ll enjoy the visit…great food, great ambience and clean environment, and don’t miss the gorgeous sunset view, a daily feature of the resort.

  10. nice place! we were here last oct. 08 for our field trip…

  11. well, it’s beautiful but the staff are so rude and… they don’t bother to entertain our needs as guests!

  12. Hi, is a beach wedding possible here?
