Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival 2007
I noticed that among the search words used by some viewers here was Pintados – referring, in all likelihood, to the grand parade of painted or “tattoed” participants in colorful costumes, dancing to the heady thumping of drums during the celebration of the annual fiesta of Tacloban City.
Each new year, the celebration of the feast of Sto. Niño is ushered in every 3rd Sunday of January with Cebu’s Sinulog festival.
This reminded me of my photos taken of Tacloban’s own Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival – one of the highlights of the Tacloban City fiesta celebration which is held on June 29-30. Since I started this photoblog only in late September last year, I missed posting them here.
