Tacloban Fiesta 2010: Balyuan Rites
June 20, 2010 the Basey Sto. Niño flotilla arrives in Tacloban City re-enacting the exchange of the images of Señor Santo Niño between the Basey barrios of Buscada and Kankabatok (now Tacloban).
After the usual offerings and exchange of messages between government officials of Tacloban City and the Municipality of Basey, a mass is held at the Sto. Niño Parish Church.
In the afternoon, the Tacloban and Basey Sto. Niño images are motored around the barangays of Tacloban announcing the start of the 9-day novena prayers of the Tacloban Fiesta celebration.
