Pres. Arroyo formally opens Palarong Pambansa
President Arroyo formally opened yesterday in Tacloban City the Palarong Pambansa 2009 – the country’s most prestigious multi-sports event for elementary and high school students.
Mrs. Arroyo declared the games open in a festive ceremony at the newly-refurbished Leyte Sports Development Center highlighted by, among others, the performance of the Buyogan Festival contingent which won the championship of the Aliwan Fiesta Festival held last Saturday, April 25 in Manila.
