Ormoc City Port Area

Ormoc City, the center of commerce and industry on the western side of Leyte, is known as the first “non-provincial capital city” of the Philippines – meaning, it’s the country’s first municipality which became a city though not a capital of a province.

It is an independent component city not subject to regulation by the provincial government. The city, however, is part of the congressional district IV of Leyte together with the municipalities of Albuera, Kananga, Merida and Isabel.

  10. nindot na ang ormoc city karon daghan salamat sa mga namomono diha labina sa atong mayor na si eric codilla. sir i’m very proud of you na ikaw ang nag patuloy sa magandang hangarin ng iyong tatay para sa ating mga kababayan. kung unsa man ang magandang proyikto sa tatay mo napotol, hinaot unta na imo madogtungan at higitan mo pa para daghang torista na mag bakasyon diha. karangalan ko po yon kasi taga ormoc pod ko, ako ang apo ni timotia codilla na pinsan ng iyong father na taga cantubo.

  12. i went to google and searched “ormoc city, philippines” and saw these nice beautiful images of ormoc city. i’m so eager now to take a vacation and see all these very good improvements of ormoc city. i was so happy just looking at the images…

    since i left 15 years ago, some of my friends now based overseas have gone to ormoc city for a vacation. they all say it’s very nice…

    wow it’s so nice to see my hometown… my college alma mater – western leyte college…
